Is there a way to quickly travel to the mainland in NF in doing as little as possible to get there? I've done the island so many times that it gets so boring and repetitive. >.>

This is a guess, but could someone ferry you to the Consulate Docks, latch onto a group with Dunkoro in the group and then do the mission to get to the mainland?

If you are a native Elonian char, you have to be either lvl 17 or a Sunspear Captain to get the "Time is Nigh" quest, which is the primary that takes you to Consulate Docks. I would assume that if you haven't reached those levels, you wouldn't be allowed to do the mission.

The way I bypass the boredom (and yes, it is mind-numbingly boring) of Istan is by making Factions chars. They not only level faster, but I found Shing Jea to be a lot cooler than Istan.

Yes, you must complete Time Is Nigh. I did it with my Dervish at level 12 or so.

Just follow the main story line, it's not that slow to do that.

What I have been doing also is taking my newly rolled Factions' characters to Elona and I pick up the story line there & Heroes...flows really well.

Getting off noob island in Factions is very fast, and I really dislike the City for re-playability.

To help you, get a ferry to consulate docks and get max armor etc.

Then get a decent weapon and bobs your aunty!

I do find that istan takes a tad too long

i found a great way to level up fast and gain a shed load of sunspear points was to tag slong with my brother and 2 heroes when he does the Champions Dawn quest with a foreign character. I went in as a lvl 3...came out a lvl 8, and about 900-1000 sunspear promotion points.

It can be easily done with 2 lvl 20s...naturally I return the favor when I has an elonian character.

The best thing is to lach onto a foreign character and do the land of heros quest (i think that is what it is called). Its the quest before consulate docks (for foreign characters only). Get a cap sig (from somewhere outside of noob island) and cap Warrior, Paragon, Necromancer, Monk and Dervish elites. Or you can take a foreign character and lach onto an Elonian and do quests. Some quests have bosses with Elonian elites. Good caping.

no way to get to mainland through skipping. But tyria and cantha is easy to ferry to.

To be honest, I wasn't thinking of XP for caping, I was thinking elites. Yes, since XP is based on your level, you get low XP for caping.

I just think its cool to see a low level character with max armor, runes, max weapon & off-hand, and a bunch of elites when still on Noob Island. I groan when I see a low level character with max stuff in areas they shouldn't be (like the Tyrian Desert, Island of Fire, Sorrows Furnace, etc).

Hey guys I just got nightfall the other day and i just made a pve Dervish. Its really fun, but i just wanna get the hell off noob island and fast. im on the mission now where i have to reach lvl 12 or get master sunspear ltnt. If someone could pm me and help me out that'd be great. My in game name is Lord tsengui, but my dervish name is Lord of the Derv.

If you don't care how your character looks, make a factions character. If you think about it, all you do is grab a secondary prof > minister cho's estate > some tengu errands > afflicted errands > zen daijun > done.

The only problem if you're making F to go to NF is that you can't get the cap sig quest which gives 2 free caps sigs XD. The F variant requires you to do a long quest before he offers the cap sig quest.

start your char, get a ferry, goto factions and do all those crap quests for 3k exp ( the ones where your runnin everywhere in wajjun)
goto LA run in reverse to droks, goto witmans folly. kill grawl with olias and some heros or have someone solo them with ya.. hit lvl 17 return to NF and rock on.
